“Europe is going to need Latin America more than Latin America will need Europe,” said the Siemens representative at the Forum “Southern Cone – Energy Transition – The Role of the South”, in which the expert Matthias Kleinhempel served as moderator. Professor IAE Buiness School and former CEO of SIEMENS Argentina, and included the participation of panelists such as the Argentine Mariano Bassani, Director and PMO, DREICON; Manfred Boeckmann, General Director, Wintershall Dea Argentina; Carsten Hasbach, Senior Director of Government Affairs, Siemens Energy and Dr Micha Janosch Zauner, CEO of Deutsche E Metalle AG (with presence in Argentina). The guests referred to the current challenges presented by the war between Russia and Ukraine and the current climate change crisis, both in Europe , particularly in Germany, where they have demonstrated the need to diversify their trade partners and energy suppliers as well as secure access to critical minerals.”
